Promoting A Better School Experience
Friends of Main Street (or FOMS) is the parent run fundraising organization at Main Street School. If you are a parent or gaurdian of a child that attends Main Street School, the good news is that you are already a member of Friends of Main Street! (We also welcome Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents).
The primary purpose of Friends of Main Street is to raise funds to provide enrichment programs like art and music for K-5 that the state doesn’t provide. In addition, FOMS supports the library, technology lab, provides classroom supplies, organizes school events, and helps with many other school needs.
FOMS holds regular meetings, open to all, discussing upcoming fundraising events, voting on designation of FOMS monies, budgets, and various school issues. We encourage you to attend the meetings and voice your ideas. Meeting agendas are posted 2 weeks prior to the upcoming meeting near the school office.
